The United Professional Horsemen’s Association (UPHA) is currently seeking to hire an Executive Assistant to the President.
The executive assistant to the president will report to, and work closely with, the UPHA president as well as the UPHA Executive Board of Directors to advance the UPHA’s vision and the Foundation’s mission. The executive assistant will be responsible for the daily administration and management of all office duties, UPHA Programs and UPHA Membership Database. They will implement the strategic goals and objectives of the UPHA, develop and strengthen programs that will advance the industry, and
educate, encourage, promote, and advance participation in equestrian activities.
The executive assistant will oversee UPHA Programs, the membership database, technology, web site management, communications, media releases, accounts receivables/payables, record keeping and recording of meeting minutes. They will assist with education, promotion, marketing, coordination and planning of the UPHA Annual Convention, Board meetings, local and National special events, as well as develop and maintain good communication and a positive working relationship with UPHA members. The position requires a college degree with significant work and business experience in a managerial role along with strong people, communication, organizational and self-motivational skills. Applicants must be willing to relocate to Lexington, Ky. for a full-time position. Equine, promotional, accounting, marketing, MS Office, In Design, Excel, and QuickBooks skills are a plus. Travel is periodically required.
