In response to multiple spring horse show cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Monarch Board of Directors has decided to further lower the qualification requirements for the Monarch National Championship from participation at three horse shows in the Monarch Network to two horse shows in the Monarch Network.
In addition, in order to preserve the intent of the MNC, horses placing first through sixth in any division at the 2020 World’s Championship Horse Show will only be eligible to compete in the Open Breed Division.
The Board has also decided that both Open Breed and ASB classes will qualify for the ASB Walk and Trot Pleasure Division and the ASB Single Bit Division at the Monarch National Championship, provided that the competitor is riding an ASB. (For example: Open Breed Walk and Trot Pleasure will qualify for ASB Walk and Trot Pleasure Adult at the MNC)
