The Southeastern Hackney Horse Association will be holding classes for 3-year-old and 4- to 5-year-old ponies at the East Tennessee Saddlebred Association's Midsummer Classic horse show, August 4-6, in White Pine, Tennessee.
There will be eight classes offered with a nomination fee of $50. The classes offered will be 3-Year-Old Road Pony, 3-Year-Old Harness Pony, 3-Year-Old Hackney Pony, 3-Year-Old Pleasure Driving Pony, 4-/5-Year-Old Road Pony, 4-/5-Year-Old Harness Pony, 4-/5-Year-Old Hackney Pony and 4-/5-Year-Old Pleasure Driving Pony. The classes will pay prize money in the same manner as the Incentive Fund, with a starting portion of money from the fund, plus all entry fees distributed among the competing ponies.
Program Rules:
3-Year-Old Classes: Open to 3-year-old registered Hackney ponies whose owner and trainer are members of SHHA. Standard USEF rules for the various divisions apply.
4-/5-Year-Old Classes: Open to 4- and 5-year-old registered Hackney ponies whose owner and trainer are members of SHHA. Standard USEF rules for the various divisions apply.
Entry Fee for each class, payable to SHHA: $50
Payout: Each class will have a base of prize money of $498, to which all entry fees will be added, and the total divided by the number of entries, with each pony receiving money as a percentage of the number of entries.
