The American Morgan Horse Association has completed calculating the high point portion of the Open Competition program for 2018. The verification period opens on Thursday, November 29 and will close in one week (end of day on Thursday, December 6).
Please check the high points awarded to a horse for accuracy. It is a member's responsibility to report any errors for review to AMHA at the following email address: kristen@morganhorse.com. AMHA MUST have all requests for review/correction in WRITING, so submit through this email address only. AMHA will not review any inquiries by phone.
Approved corrections to errors will be made following the December 6 deadline. Open competition results will be announced sometime the week of Dec. 10-14. Any errors found and/or reported after the December 6 deadline will be updated for historical purposes only and will NOT affect the final placings awarded.
AMHA has now moved on to calculating medallion points and will advise members when those have been updated. Please be patient while AMHA manually calculates this data as well. AMHA is working diligently to quickly finalize the 2018 program results for its participating members.
Special Note: It is important to note that the 2018 guidelines for Dressage and Western Dressage stated that 5 scores would be averaged in order to determine high point awards in those divisions. Those that properly submitted 5 scores this year will be averaged and then placed PRIOR to any participant with less than 5 scores this year. The 2019 guidelines will clearly state the updated requirements for each individual division. Once the 2018 program is finalized this month, AMHA will post the updated guidelines for 2019.
