The American Morgan Horse Association is seeking 4-6 registered Morgan horses and their exhibitors to represent the versatility of our breed in the Massachusetts Equine Affaire demonstrations. Equine Affaire is “North America’s premier equine exposition and equestrian gathering . . . a unique celebration of the horse offering unparalleled education, entertainment, and shopping opportunities.” AMHA is proud to attend every year to showcase and educate the public about our amazing breed and offer clinics and unique AMHA merchandise. The 2025 Massachusetts Equine Affaire will be held at the Big E Fairgrounds in West Springfield from November 6th through November 9th. Horses performing in the demonstration will be required to arrive at the event at least one day before the first scheduled demonstration. The versatility of the Morgan horse will be demonstrated at least two times (in different arena locations) throughout the weekend with each demonstration lasting around eight minutes.

HOW TO APPLY

Please fill out the form below and provide a 2-minute video of your horse performing with the rider intended to exhibit said horse at Equine Affaire. Do not add background noise or music. General cutting/editing is permitted. Video must be taken within the last year. Please send your video and application to nicole@morganhorse.com.

• Morgans applying must be registered with AMHA and the owner/rider must be a current AMHA member.
• Applicant is responsible for the cost of transportation of the Morgan and food for the horse, and their own transportation, lodging and food at the grounds. AMHA covers the cost of the horse’s stall at the event as well as the shavings needed for the stalls.
• Junior Exhibitors and Walk-Trot riders are welcome to apply, but if accepted will be required to fill out a youth form from the Equine Affaire.
• ALL RIDERS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR HELMETS WHILE RIDING AT THE EVENT.
• AMHA will consider all applicants but will be selecting those that best complement the overall “group” presentation. All horses must be sound, well groomed, and well behaved.

This event creates large, loud crowds, and horses must be able to maintain composure throughout the event.
