The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) has announced its nine 2015 Equestrians of Honor, including noted Saddlebred riders, Misdee Wrigley Miller and Elisabeth Goth.
Each of the nine nominees won an individual trophy for their standing in their sport, and qualified to win the USEF's Equestrian of the Year honor. Everyone is encouraged to vote for their choice to win the prestigious award. Voting will run through midnight Eastern on January 4, 2016. The USEF Equestrian of the Year will be named on January 15, during the 2016 Pegasus Awards.
The finalists include:
Misdee Wrigley Miller, who was awarded the Bill Robinson Trophy.
Elisabeth Goth, who was awarded the C.J. “June” Cronan Trophy.
Laura Graves, who was awarded the William C. Steinkraus Trophy.
McLain Ward, who was awarded the William C. Steinkraus Trophy for the second time.
Cheryl Van Deusen, who was awarded the Becky Grand Hart Trophy.
Liza Boyd, who was awarded the Emerson Burr Trophy for the third consecutive year.
Michael Damianos, who has been awarded the Barbara Worth Oakford Trophy.
Martha Rattner, who has been awarded the Norman K. Dunn Trophy.
Bill Deeney, who has been awarded for the Vaughan Smith Trophy.
