EQUINE SCULPTURE WORKSHOP TO BE HELD IN OCTOBER

The American Academy of Equine Art has announced the Equine Sculpture Workshop with Alexa King, the famed creator of “Barbaro," which stands at the entrance to Churchill Downs.  The workshop will be held October 21-25 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.

Alexa King is one of the preeminent equestrian sculptors at work today and this workshop is for all levels, beginner to advanced, so everyone will be comfortable and welcome. Alexa has done many Saddlebreds and Hackneys including "I'm First" and "Giselle," and her "Barbaro" at Churchill Downs is a crowd favorite.

Side trips to the Fasig Tipton Thoroughbred Sale & Keeneland are planned.

For details, visit www.aaea.net/workshops or email yvonnetodd@aaea.net or sallyjackson@aaea.net.
