The American Saddlebred Horse & Breeders Association (ASHBA) has announced the individuals selected to join the Youth Council. The Youth Council is an initiative to foster future leaders in the American Saddlebred industry. The mission of the Youth Council is to “advance youth within the sport through leadership and education of the industry.”

Sutton Paulsen (Iowa)
Katie Rich (Texas)
Izzy Richman (North Carolina)
Jaqueline Schatzberg (Arizona)
The Youth Council will be tasked with regional education, engagement and promotion. This important position will have a non-voting seat on the Board of Directors, and be heavily involved in the planning of the Youth Conference held each year on President’s Day Weekend. In 2023, the Youth Conference will be held in conjunction with the rejuvenated ASHBA Convention.
