The American Saddlebred Horse Association Stallion Sweeps Committee has announced that a total of $31,950 from the 2018-2019 Stallion Sweeps ticket sales will be added to the prize money payouts for State Futurities affiliated with American Saddlebred Registry.
The distribution of the added prize money for each futurity from the ASHA Stallion Sweeps program was based on the ticket sales form last year. This allowed for ticket purchasers’ to support the futurity of their choice and for the State Futurities to raise additional funds. If ticket sales were not designated or sold in person for a particular futurity, the online ticket purchases, made by residents in a state with an active futurity, were allocated to that State Futurity program.
The Kentucky and National Futurities Committee voted to equally distribute the added funds, totaling more than $15,500, to all ribbon winners showing in the 2019 Kentucky Futurity Yearling class, held at the World’s Championship Horse Show in August. In addition to futurity prize money offered through 6th place, each ribbon winner will receive an additional $1,942.
Prize money will be added to the following ASR Affiliate State Futurities:
In its third year, the Stallion Sweeps program continues to be a huge success. The program was created to raise money to promote the breeding of American Saddlebreds.
