The American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) and the American Saddlebred Registry (ASR) announced the launch of the new database on Wednesday, October 1.
The database is the result of a two-year project with the first part consisting of a conversion from an AS/400 system to new technologies built in .Net, and the second part is to upgrade the website that will be launched in early 2015.
The ASHA and ASR are grateful to the generous donors that have provided funds to make this project a reality.
Due to the tremendous data conversion, ASHA and ASR staff will dedicate several hours to validate the data that has been migrated, and that the information on the horses has been applied accurately. Therefore, ASHA and ASR expect delays in updating information on the website. These delays will also allow ASHA and ASR to sync the new system with the current website and provide the environment for the staff to immediately benefit from this transition.
The ASHA and ASR appreciate your patience, and we apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
