The American Saddlebred Horse Association and the American Saddlebred Museum have announced a virtual event with Dr. Tom Riddle, of Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital, and the esteemed Saddlebred trainer, Nelson Green. Riddle and Green will be livestreaming on December 2, to share stories and details about Riddle’s new book, "The Riddle Half (of Rood and Riddle)."
The virtual event is free to attend and will take place on the ASHA and Museum’s Facebook Pages and will begin at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2. Those who are interested in joining the event are encouraged to like both pages. Those who are interested in purchasing the "The Riddle Half" can do so at the American Saddlebred Museum or on Rood & Riddle’s Website.
"The Riddle Half (of Rood and Riddle)" includes stories from Riddle's childhood and his career, along with Riddle's tips in a "how-to" guide to mare reproduction created over decades of hands-on practice. The mix of science and storytelling in this book allows Riddle to recount his role in establishing one of the largest equine veterinary practices in the world while developing a decades-long combination of skills that are the art and science of mare reproduction.
With a combination of humility and pride, Riddle tells how he and Dr. Bill Rood joined together to build a veterinary practice, which now has locations in Lexington, Kentucky; Saratoga Springs, New York; and Wellington, Florida. Rood & Riddle has achieved a national and international reputation for excellence in equine veterinary medicine.
All profits from the sale of "The Riddle Half (of Rood and Riddle)" go to The Foundation for the Horse, the American Association of Equine Practitioners’ (AAEP’s) charitable arm that supports horses and horse people throughout the world, and the Theriogenology Foundation, the global non-profit of the organization of veterinarians dedicated to animal reproduction.
The book may be purchased by contacting Rood & Riddle Veterinary Pharmacy at 859-246-0112 or online at RRVP.com.
For a signed copy, $5 will be added to the purchase price.
