The American Saddlebred Museum and International Museum of the Horse continue their Lunchtime Lecture partnership into the summer. Join the Museums on the first Thursday of the month to hear an array of experts speak on equine related topics. The lecture location alternates between institutions, both of which are located on the grounds of the Kentucky Horse Park. The lecture is free of charge, and box lunches are available for $11.
The lecture series continues through spring and summer with the following events:
Thursday, June 6, 12:30 p.m. -- Kathleen Haak, publications director, Carriage Association of America, will speak about the history of carriages in her talk “Rolling Down Victory Lane – A Look at Saddlebreds and their Carriages, from Coaches to Viceroys.” Located at the American Saddlebred Museum. Thursday, July 11, 12:30 p.m. -- Meet the 2019 BreyerFest Celebration Horse, Kentucky Horse Park Mounted Police horse, Oliver. Oliver and his police partner, Captain Lisa Rakes, make an amazing team and will be speaking about their important work. Located at the International Museum of the Horse.
