The American Morgan Horse Association has released a statement thanking the recent member communications survey respondents.
"AMHA would like to thank those who participated in the recent Member Communications survey distributed by AMHA Region 6 director, Vicki Bennett. More than 500 Morgan enthusiasts took the survey and offered hundreds of thoughtful comments. The results were presented to the AMHA Board of Directors at its recent second quarter meeting.
Overall, participants were positive about the flow of information received from AMHA. The Thursday email newsletter has the highest viewership, followed closely by the website. The many requests for a more interactive format for both of these already will be addressed with AMHA's new software platform. The over 35ers enjoy the Facebook pages, while our younger members favor Instagram.
"The Morgan Horse" magazine remains a favorite and there was much praise for its ongoing effort to cover the history and versatility of our breed, not only of the horses, but also of our diverse membership.
The latest issue of "The Network," AMHA's member newsletter, will be coming out in June, and while many reported it was partially “recycled” news, they loved getting it and sharing it at horse shows and the barn. And for our members without Internet access, it is the primary mode of association communication.
Here is a current list of all the places and ways you can get association information:
