YOUTH ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
The American Morgan Horse Association Youth Achievement Award is presented to a deserving youth member who accumulated points in a variety of areas and has demonstrated their commitment to AMHA, AMHA Youth Programs, the Morgan Horse, and their community. This youth shows dedication to learning and building their horsemanship skills on both a local and national level while recognizing the importance of promoting the Morgan breed.
This year’s winner went above and beyond. Isabella Rinz and her horse, Rampaige, successfully participated in the Open Competition, My Morgan & Me, and Horsemastership Program. She volunteered with a therapeutic riding program, attended clinics, and held leadership roles in her youth group.
Congratulations to Isabella, the 2017 AMHA Youth Achievement Award winner!
JUSTIN MORGAN BADGE
The Justin Morgan Badge is earned by youth who have been dedicated in the pursuit of preserving, improving, promoting, and cherishing the Morgan breed. To achieve this badge, a youth must incorporate the ideals and skills of horsemastership and management, sportsmanship, responsibility in citizenship, discipline, and competence in leadership.
Kate Rawlinson of Lincoln, Nebraska, has done just that. She did a tremendous job with this badge demonstrating her abilities both in the saddle, in the buggy, and on the ground as an instructor and a promoter of the breed.
Congratulations to Kate on achieving the highest badge in the Horsemastership Program.
