2019 NMMH STATE BUCKET AUCTION LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS

The National Museum of the Morgan Horse (NMMH) is searching for volunteers for its annual state bucket auction, which will take place at the 2019 Grand National & World Championship Horse Show. It's calling for people from all 50 states, Washington D.C. and Canada.

This year, the proceeds will support the brand new Museum Exhibit at Pineland Farms located in New Gloucester, Maine.

The museum needs volunteers to organize, obtain, package and deliver outstanding goodies representing their state (including the bucket) for this fun event.

For those interested in volunteering to organize their state’s bucket this year, please contact Kristen Kelly at the AMHA Office at (802) 985-4944, ext. 401 or kristen@morganhorse.com. Organizers will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Volunteers from states that have already been assigned an organizer will be given the organizer’s name and contact information so everyone can work together.

Once assigned as the “official” state organizer, those volunteers will be sent a guidelines sheet and details about the auction. Remember, volunteers don’t necessarily have to be attending in person to organize a bucket. They would need to make arrangements to ship or have someone haul their donation to the show. The American Morgan Horse Association and NMMH will not be shipping donated goods on behalf of any organizer.

Also, awards will be given to the donor of the bucket that obtains the “highest bid,” and the donor that has the “most creative” bucket.
