Voting is open for the 2019 Election of American Morgan Horse Association Board of Directors. Electronic (email) ballots and instructions were emailed to all eligible voters on December 21, 2018. In addition, hard copy ballots were mailed to all eligible voters on December 14, 2018. All 2018 AMHA members 18 years of age and older and in good standing are eligible to cast a vote. Paper ballots were mailed to the addresses on file with the AMHA office. Electronic ballots (in addition to the paper ballots) were emailed if the eligible voter had an email on file with AMHA. Members may vote either by using the paper ballot or voting via the online voting portal.
If you did not receive an electronic ballot (in your inbox or junk mail) and you feel you are an eligible voter, please contact the office at email@example.com or call (802) 985-4944, and AMHA will make arrangements to update your email and/or have the election company resend your electronic ballot.
AMHA Bylaws require a minimum number of votes be returned in order to properly elect directors from each region. Even if a region has a single candidate – AMHA must receive the minimum number of votes for the election to be approved. Please be sure to participate in this important governing process of your association.
Candidate biographies and platforms are available for review during the voting process online. You will be able to view each before casting your ballot.
In addition to the director election, there are two bylaw amendments on the ballot so please review the voting materials carefully before casting your vote.
Online voting is open until 11:59 p.m. (Central Time) on February 7, 2019. Paper ballots must be postmarked no later than January 25 and received by tabulating agent no later than February 1. Votes can be cast in person or by proxy at the annual meeting and convention in San Antonio, Texas on Friday, February 8, 2019.
Questions regarding the election should be made to AMHA Executive Director, Carrie J. Mortensen at the AMHA office, (802) 985-4944, firstname.lastname@example.org.
