Team American Saddlebreds, Inc. (TAS) is excited to announce the creation of the Susan Swope Microchip Fund. The fund is a matching gift up to $500.00 that will provide for microchips to be purchased and placed in horses that are found at risk, when TAS lacks funds to purchase them and as a means to identify them, if they are found at risk of slaughter. TAS is a registered 501(c) (3) organization whose mission is to assist American Saddlebreds that are in need, at risk of neglect or face a threat of slaughter. The team goal is best summarized by our slogan, Renew ~ Rehome ~Repurpose.
The TAS Team is comprised of its board of directors (Hilarie Thomas, Jennifer Hegg, Jonna Egli and Zena Muzyczenko) and loyal volunteers, donors and supporters who help network American Saddlebreds across the country. TAS works with owners, trainers and breeders as a resource to market and network lower price point American Saddlebreds that may not fit the programs they are in, as a way to help encourage and support an entry level market. TAS operates solely through the generosity of donors and the time of volunteers. TAS is grateful to Elisabeth Goth, Mary McLean, as well as countless others whose contributions have helped assist over 250 American Saddlebreds since 2012.
TAS appreciates all of the donors and supporters as they round out a very successful 2014.
