Mid-America Horse Show Association (MAHSA) will host the 2019 Signature Horse Show at Ledges Sporting Horse Stables in Roscoe, Illinois, July 26-28, 2019. Cindy Zubrod Boel will be the show judge.
The MAHSA goal for the 2019 Signature Horse Show is to produce a summer season horse show with the charm of an old-fashioned outdoor horse show. Signature will utilize the large outdoor show arena at Ledges, however an indoor arena is also available, if needed due to weather conditions.
Signature Horse Show will feature a full slate of classes for Saddlebreds, Hackney ponies, Equitation and open breed classes. Both “A” circuit and “B” circuit points will be awarded. New for Signature this year is an expanded Academy Division with four new classes being added on Saturday---Academy Equitation W/T/C Novice Rider, Academy Equitation W/T/C Novice Rider Championship, Academy Equitation Walk/Trot Novice Rider and Academy Equitation Walk/Trot Novice Rider Championship.
The second leg of the Mid-America Series Championship competition also takes place at Signature. The 2019 Series Championship will culminate at the MAHSA Mane Event Horse Show, which will be held October 17-20 in the newly renovated Coliseum of Champions at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Illinois.
In keeping with an old-fashioned outdoor horse show theme, Signature hospitality will include coffee and morning munchies in the horse show office every morning; frozen treats from an ice cream truck on Friday afternoon; pizza and soft drinks along with the annual Signature Water Balloon Contest on Saturday afternoon and popcorn on Sunday.
This year, Mid-America Horse Show Association is commemorating 80 years of serving the horse show community, and in celebration of that milestone, a special celebratory cake also will be served on Saturday afternoon.
MAHSA continues to offer the option of requesting “to be announced” (TBA) classes. To request a TBA class, or for any other information about Signature Horse Show, contact Cheryl Rangel, Signature show manager, Tracesct@aol.com or (847) 537-4743.
