MORGAN CLUB OFFERS YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP

A $1,000 scholarship contest is being offered to college students in Illinois and Wisconsin by the Mid-States Morgan Horse Club. Applicants must be age 17 to 21, a member of the American Morgan Horse Association and an Illinois or Wisconsin local AMHA club. Applicant also must have a 3.5 or better cumulative grade point average.

A 500-800 word essay written by the applicant on “What the Morgan Horse Has Done for Me” will be judged to establish the winner. Grammar, spelling and punctuation also will be judged. Electronically submit the entry to Shirley Orlando at orlandoshirl@att.net.

Scholarship forms and applications are due by May 15, 2019. The scholarship will be awarded Saturday, June 1, at the Prairie State Classic Horse Show in Woodstock, Illinois.
