The Board of Directors of the Midwest Charity Horse Show Association have made the decision to cancel the Midwest Charity Horse Show, June 9-13, 2020, in Springfield, Illinois, at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
The annual Midwest Charity Horse Show, that both horseman and central Illinois have come to love and look forward to each year, must consider the well being of exhibitors, staff, volunteers, vendors and spectators. Show managements recognizes this is an enormous disappointment for the equine and local communities but this is the right decision for the organization, during this unprecedented time, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Management remains committed to its charity, SIU School of Medicine's Camp COCO, the community of Springfield, and the Illinois State Fairgrounds venue. Management will share details soon of the 80th anniversary show in 2021, and is excited to welcome everyone back to its village-like equine complex and the Coliseum of Champions.
