Join the Mid-America Mane Event Horse Show this year, October 20-23, and show in the country’s best show facility, the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Illinois.
The American Dutch Harness Horse Association has requested the show add classes to accommodate their breed at Mane Event. They will be showing in the Roadster Horse Classes; Open Pleasure – Any Breed Classes; and, at their request, the show has added three Opportunity Classes in Open Fine Harness – Any Breed; Open Fine Harness - Junior Horse; Open Fine Harness; and Open Fine Harness Championship.
These classes are eligible to meet qualifying class requirements for the 2017 ADHHA National Championship. Mane Event welcomes ADHHA to the show and looks forward to seeing their beautiful horses compete.
Mane Event also has added five TBA (To Be Announced) classes. TBA classes are added to accommodate special requests of the trainers and exhibitors.
The show has added Country Pleasure Three-Gaited, Masters (50 & over), Show Pleasure Three-Gaited, Jr. Ex. (13 & under), Show Pleasure ASHA Junior Exhibitor Driving, Country Pleasure ASHA Junior Exhibitor Driving and Hackney Country Pleasure Driving.
Mane Event now has four $500 Jackpot Stakes. There will be four jackpot stakes on Saturday evening. In addition to Five-Gaited, Three-Gaited and Fine Harness, the show has added Park.
Hospitality during Mane Event includes a Friday night celebration, honoring all Good Hands Finals riders. This event continues to get better every year. It features food, music, and dancing. The Saturday night party, considered by many to be the best on the show circuit, features multiple gourmet food stations (including the famous lobster bisque) and no long waiting lines. All exhibitors, trainers, family and friends are invited to both celebrations.
Prize lists are available at www.midamericahorseshow.org and www.horseshowcalendar.com. Complete class details for all added classes can be found on the show’s website and on Facebook.
