The Michigan Morgan Horse Breeders' Futurity and Fall Horse Show, an AMHA 3 Star Show, will take place September 9-11 at the Michigan State University Pavilion in East Lansing, Michigan. Lyle Wick will be this year's judge.
The Michigan Morgan Horse Breeders’ Futurity (MMHBF) and Appointments USA Weanling Spectacular will be held Saturday evening, September 10, with $20,000 total prize money--$10,000 to the top ten Morgan weanlings plus $10,000 to be divided equally among any “auction get" placing in the top ten. The Morgan Uckele Amateur Yearling Sweepstakes, offering $5,400 to the top 10 Morgan yearlings, will also be held on Saturday evening in conjunction with the weanling event. In each of these sweepstakes classes, the entrants are presented individually for a maximum of two minutes, after which the top contenders are recalled to the ring for the final judging. These two sweepstakes comprise our entire gala Saturday evening lineup and are followed by the annual barbecue and exhibitors' party.
For more than 13 years, the MMHBF Stallion Service Auction and Gala committees have worked diligently to promote young stock, which are the future of our breed.
New this year are our $500 Morgan Amateur Championships! $250 will be given to the winner plus $250 to the winner’s trainer for Morgan Amateur English Pleasure Championship, Morgan Amateur Hunter Pleasure Championship, and Morgan Amateur Western Pleasure Championship.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
MMHBF would like to thank all the stallion owners for their donations, which have made their Gala and Stallion Service Auction a huge success. Mark your calendar for next year’s Gala - March 4, 2017!
