** Following is an announcement from Kentucky State Fair and World's Championship Horse Show management **
We are planning on having the 2020 Kentucky State Fair and World’s Championship Horse Show in August as scheduled. Across the world, events are managing unprecedented and unpredictable circumstances. If there are any changes, we plan to update you as early as possible.
The Qualifying Period will remain the same: July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2020. If shows are held after June 30, 2020, shows and points will count for 2021.
Shows start back in May – 2 shows – 4 classes
Shows start back in June – 1 show – 2 classes
Shows start back in July – all eligible: if class is over filled the following will be used to determine what horses are eligible to show:
1. Horses who have met the qualifying requirements, 3 shows – 6 classes
2. Horses who have met the qualifying requirements, 2 shows – 4 classes
3. Horses who have met the qualifying requirements, 1 show – 2 classes
4. If the class is not filled by these horses then the remaining horses will be chosen by drawing until the class if filled.
Refer to page 34 in the 2019 prize list under STALL/ENTRY LIMITATIONS.
If the WCHS show isn’t held in 2020 then in 2021 for each division with a Junior class (i.e. 5-Gaited, 3-Gaited, Fine Harness, Park and Park Pleasure) there will be a Denver Junior class held for those horses that were Junior horses in 2020. These Denver Junior classes will be held only for the year 2021.
