The American Saddlebred Horse Association and Elisabeth Goth are pleased to offer the ASHA Junior Exhibitor Driving Challenge program, to promote the sport of driving American Saddlebreds for young enthusiasts.
ASHA hopes shows will consider participating this year in the Driving Challenge. The ASHA Junior Exhibitor Driving Challenge consists of qualifying classes in two divisions, Junior Exhibitor Show Pleasure Driving and Junior Exhibitor Country Pleasure Driving, at selected shows throughout the year. Each show must offer both classes. Custom medals and ribbons will be provided by ASHA.
To be eligible for the $10,000 in cash and prizes offered, a horse must be a ribbon winner in two qualifying classes prior to the Finals. A horse must qualify in two official Junior Exhibitor Country Pleasure Driving classes to qualify for the Country Pleasure Driving final or two official Junior Exhibitor Show Pleasure Driving classes to qualify for the Show Pleasure Driving Final.
The support of show sponsors and planners is needed to make this program a success. For more information, click here. If interested in adding these classes to a show, please return this form by March 11, 2016. For more information, please email Brenda Newell at b.newell@asha.net.
