At meetings held on October 27, 2014, in Lexington, Kentucky, the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) voted to approve the slate of candidates for election to the ASHA Board in January of 2015. The Board is honored to present a qualified group of individuals with strong American Saddlebred backgrounds, as well as complimentary business and marketing skills. The slate is as follows:
The following current ASHA Directors’ terms will expire in January 2015: Randy Cates (Oklahoma); Redd Crabtree (Kentucky); David Rudder (Kentucky); and Kenny Wheeler (Virginia); Betsy Boone (North Carolina) is completing her second term and is therefore not eligible to serve again.
Voting is now open to all 2014 ASHA Life, Contributing, Senior, and Charter Club Affiliate members over the age of 18. ASHA will spotlight each Board of Directors Nominee in email releases beginning Monday. Members may vote online for up to seven candidates by logging in with their ASHA credentials. Complete biographies for each candidate are available for review at the online site. Online voting will be open until MONDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2014.
Paper ballots will also be mailed to all eligible members, for those who prefer to vote by mail. Biographical information on all candidates is included in the mailing. Paper ballots must be received in the ASHA Office no later than MONDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2014. Paper ballots will also contain proxies for the 2014 ASHA Annual Meeting. These should be returned by mail to the ASHA Office any time prior to the Annual Meeting on Saturday, January 17, 2015.
