** Following is an open letter sent by the Silicon Valley show management **
We are very excited to report that we continue to get good news from showgrounds management at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. According to the manager, it looks VERY GOOD that our show will go on as planned. We hope you are as thrilled as we are!! We are working around the clock (with a few breaks of course!) to make sure that we are ready to welcome you to the Pleasanton Equestrian Center on June 2nd when your horse trailers arrive. According to the manager, because we are a fully outdoor show with no public spectators, that is heavily in our favor as restrictions continue to loosen in the county.
As soon as we have new or definitive information we will let you know! And, for your reassurance, we are doing everything we can to provide you with the safest and cleanest facility and grounds. But rest assured, this will still include the opportunity to socialize and have fun! There is an updated checklist of safety recommendations coming out shortly, and those will be emailed to you, posted on the website, and on display around the grounds.
We also have a couple of changes in our lineup of officials to share with you. Due to unexpected circumstances, we will not be able to welcome Mr. Ricky Harris as our judge, Ms. Terry Jones Brennan as our ringmaster, and Mr. Mark Farrar as our announcer. We definitely look forward to seeing all of them back in 2021! Now judging all breeds and divisions, we're happy to welcome as our judge, Mr. David Rand, as our ringmaster, Mr. Sean Cassidy, and as our announcer (stepping back into his familiar role from Woodside days), Mr. Peyton Hamilton.
Thank you all, again, for your incredible support with sponsorship pledges, calls, texts, and emails. We cannot do this without you, and YOU are why we do this. We can't wait to welcome you soon.
Helen and Lexie
