The American Horse Youth Council has hosted an annual Symposium for 40 years. An annual highlight for horsemen and women of all ages, this event brings together youth and youth leaders from all different facets of the equine industry for three days of presentations, education, discussion, exhibits, awards, and, of course, fun for all.
2017 SYMPOSIUM -- April 21-23, 2017, Wakefield, Massachusetts
The 40th Annual AYHC Symposium will take place in Wakefield, Massachusetts. The event will feature many nationally and internationally respected teachers and clinicians from across the United States.
Join the nation’s most diverse group of horse oriented youth leaders, representing breed associations, equine sports organizations, cooperative extensions, universities, 4-H, U.S. Pony Club, Interscholastic Equestrian Association, FFA, Oregon High School Equestrian Team, National Reining Horse Youth Association and more. Learn and share about what is happening in the youth equine industry through workshops, discussions, live horse demonstrations and networking.
The non-breed/discipline specific curriculum throughout the symposium offers equine knowledge that transfers from the book to the barn, providing take-home tools to teach youth about safe and effective horsemanship. Above all, the Symposium will connect you with resources, referrals, and networking to help kids connect through horses.
